Jerusalem Center for Women

An architect and urban planner from East Jerusalem; she received her bachelor’s in architecture and master’s in urban planning from Birzeit University in Ramallah, Palestine. Amaal is currently teaches the architectural department at Al Quds University. Amaal worked as a senior planner and the Urban design program manager at the International Peace and Cooperation Center (IPCC), a Palestinian nonprofit organization based in East Jerusalem where she worked on planning Palestinian neighborhoods in East Jerusalem, focusing on community development and engagement in the planning process, in addition to raising awareness about Palestinian urban rights in East Jerusalem.
