The Women’s Association of Rafat implemented an awareness-raising activity on the Family Protection from Violence Law, in cooperation with the Coalition Against Violence Against Women, with the participation of a group of women from the village of Rafat and nearby villages.
The activity included a detailed explanation of the provisions of the Family Protection Law, highlighting its importance in protecting women and promoting a safe family environment based on respect and justice. It also addressed a number of related laws, emphasizing the need to update some legislations that have become outdated and no longer align with current social realities and needs.
The session witnessed strong engagement from the participants, who shared their views and experiences. The importance of continuing such awareness activities was emphasized to enhance legal awareness and empower women to understand their rights and the available protection mechanisms.
